Backyard Birds

Our very own park adjacent to Arcadia on Leisure Village Way is a haven for a variety of birds. Bordering Calaveras Preserve, which protects native habitat for the threatened California Gnatcatcher, it is an excellent place for birding. We are so lucky to have it. The best time of day to see the birds is early in the morning. Walk quietly and wait for movement in the bushes. Don't forget to look up, too. A hawk may be flying overhead.
