Project Wildlife

 

 

Our members enjoyed a very interesting and informative presentation on Acorn woodpeckers presented by Dana and Carly from Project Wildlife.  Their Ambassador, Pepper, was very active in pecking, drilling, and vocalizing.   We were fortunate to be able to observe the bird at close range.   

 

Project Wildlife is one of the largest nonprofit wildlife rehabilitation organizations in the US.  Their volunteers rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals and birds in addition to providing educational programs to the public.
