Welcome to the Birdwatchers Club
Lake Wohlford (Escondido)
February 10, 2015
Thirteen Club members birded Escondido’s Lake Wohlford today. Even though it was a warm day, the shaded canopy kept us cool giving us the freedom to comfortably enjoy a beautiful morning, see the lake, and the birds.
We observed 38 avian species. Today’s highlight was indeed a rare occurrence: an unobstructed view of a Bald Eagle and an Osprey perched together almost side-by side on a free-standing limb.
